As with any activity in the desert, where the temperatures can get very warm, care should be taken and professional advise should be sought. May certain you take plenty of water with you, wear the appropriate clothing, no your limits and let someone know where you are going and when you expect to be back. Grapevine Canyon Hike Take Highway 163 towards Las Vegas (Northwest of Laughlin) to the 13 mile marker. Turn there at Christmas Tree Pass. Two miles from the Highway on a dirt road, is a parking area. You will see signs to the Petroglyphs-rock drawings) as well as other directions. http://www.nps.gov/lame/hikegvine.htm
Christmas Tree Pass got it name because of the many people who decorate the trees with some very common and some very uncommon decorations during the Holiday Season.
