Davis Dam, which formulated Lake Mohave, is just north of Bullhead City which is "where the sun shines and the Colorado River flows"
Just below the dam, on the Arizona side of the Colorado River, is Davis Dam Camp which is a popular place for day and overnight camping.
A bridge spanning the Colorado River joins Bullhead City, Arizona to the resort/gaming town of Laughlin, Nevada.
The northern part of Bullhead City has been called "Old Bullhead" for years, recently people have been encouraged to refer to it as "Original Bullhead City". Whatever it is called  threre have been changes in recent years. Two new Riverfront Condominium Communities were built, the Colorado River Condos and Riverview Manor, the first in over 20 years. Most of the Laughlin Hotels offer daily river tours and river walks. Connecting the majority of the hotels, as well as some of the condo complexes, are water taxis.
South of the bridge, as the river flows by the Colorado Riverfront homes and casinos, the traffice tends to be busy with people enjoying the water. There are many spots on both sides of the river for daily rental of personal watercraft, kayaks, canoes and more.
The Bullhead City riverfront condo community Rio Las Palmas is located directly across from Harrahs Laughlin Hotel & Casino.
As you leave the no wake zone in front of Harrahs you will notice a beach area along Arizona shoreline. This is Bullhead City Community Park and the Chamber of Commerce. In addition to the playground, ball fields, volleyball courts, the park has beachfront ramadas with BBQs. There is boat launch and plenty of parking. Locals and visitors alike take advantage this great area.
The 88 mile Colorado River waterway between Davis and Parker Dam is used by tourists and residents primarily for recreation. Boating, personal watercraft, fishing, skiing, tubing, kayaking, skindiving or just plain relaxing. As you continue south you will see the homes and condominiums that line the Bullhead City Shoreline. Many of the properties enjoy ther own docks and magnificent views of the water, casinos, beachfront, Laughlin Nevada and the surrounding mountains. These include single-family residences, manufactured homes, RV Parks and condominium complexes.  There are residential sub-divisions that have river access & boat launches through homeowners associations.
The Edgewater Condos, La Linda Rio Vista, Laguna Nueva are Bullhead City riverfront condos whose street access is Highway 95.
East Shore Villas is a gated Riverfront community. Not all homes are on the river or have riverfront views. However there is river access and most homes have boat slips but not all. This is a newer development and the houses tend to have many upgrades. Click here to see what units may be available.
Roadhaven Marina Condos (some people refer to them as the blue roof condos) are in the same Marina as East Shore Villas. However, the boat slips for them are very limited and access is available to only those who own one.
You will see public parks & boat launches as your trip continues. On the Nevada side there are many sites and coves. The water tends to be warmer in the coves and they are mostly "No Wake Zones". The beautiful weather enables the locals and visitors to enjoy and use the river year round.
In the Holiday Shores section of the river the water tends to be deep. This makes it a popular spot. Holiday Shores, River Bend and a few other Riverfront subdivisions in this area, do not have any Homeowners Association. You will see a mixture of site built houses and manufactured homes.
Rio Lindo Condos is the last of Bullhead City's condominium complexes on the Colorado River.
We are proud to say the southern part of Bullhead City is home to the  Arizona Veteran Memorial Park.
As you travel south you come to Rotary Park will it's beach, boat launch, skate board area, soccer field, river walk and a toddler park.

If you do not join the Homeowner's Association and pay your yearly dues you cannot acces the park, beach and boat launch. This area has site built and manufactured homes both on and off the river. Click here to find out if there are any homes available.
